We are excited to announce that Wisconsin Native Loan Fund (WINLF) is the recipient of an unrestricted charitable gift through the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund and Yield Giving, Mackenzie Scott’s philanthropic organization, in the amount of $3 million dollars.
We are humbled that our mission to improve the financial well-being and increase the capacity of Wisconsin Native American families, Native-Owned small businesses, Tribal entities and Tribal Nations by improving access to capital, offering affordable lending products, culturally tailored client development and support, has been noticed and recognized as worthy of investment. We feel how impactful our work is and are grateful for the investment in us and opportunity to create more.
It is our great honor to be purposefully directed toward improving the social and economic conditions of historically under-resourced Native American people; to work side-by-side, hand-in-hand with our Wisconsin relatives as their partner and helper, to be a partner in designing workable solutions.
This marks a significant milestone for our organization and is a win for all those that we serve. This donation will help us continue to invest in and grow strength in Wisconsin Native America, to broaden and advance the mission work that we are so passionate about. It is an affirmation of the dedication and hard work invested by our founder, our staff, our Board of Directors who represent every single Tribal Nation in the State, the funders and partners working to support our mission. This gift will make an impact and a difference in quality of life, its monetary value will be multiplied in tangible and intangible ways.
We will use this investment to increase opportunities for Native home ownership, build client financial knowledge and capacity, grow entrepreneurial small businesses and Tribal Entities, support healthy Tribal ecosystems, as well as support our organization’s capacity to deliver products and services to meet our larger strategic goals. We have a strong track record of using private and public capital to make a long-lasting positive community impact, which we commit to continuing into the next seven generations and beyond.
