Probate is the legal process of distributing one’s property and possessions to their heirs and descendants upon their death. If a person dies and they had a will, their property will be given to the persons they have designated in the will. When a person dies without a will, the property should be distributed to their “next of kin” according to laws. This course will introduce you to the steps of probate when land, a house, mineral rights, or when other type of property rights are involved.
